This Autumn term we are introducing a number of new classes and activities, as well as bringing back some old favourites. If you want to participate in any class or activity, please get in touch. All of our classes need a certain number of participants in order to keep running, so if you see something you like the look of, don’t wait or you might miss your chance!
Our activities are split into 3 categories: Adult Edcuation, Fitness and New Skills.
All activities for each are listed below. We will be updating in mid-September with a fixed timetable after all enrollments are complete.
Adult Education
1 – Monday – Wednesday: 9:15am – 11:45am
ESOL/English Adult Learning Qualifications
We will once again be working with Joseph Chamberlain College, who will be delivering classes for second language English speakers at Entry 2/3, level, depending on the requirements of participants. Please contact us for enrollment details.
Start Date: This class is still enrolling. Start dates will be posted when we have them.
2 – Tuesday Evening: 6pm – 9pm
Schools and Parenting Level 2 Qualification
We are beginning a new partnership with the Workers Education Association, who are helping us to introduce evening classes to our timetable.
This year we are running a Level 2 Qualification course in Schools and Parenting, which is aimed at teaching skills required for work in a range of educational establishments.

3 – Friday 9:15-10:15
Computing for Beginners
This is an informal class for people wishing to gain confidence in using a computer, learning basic but essential skills such as word processing, email and excel spreadsheets.
Start Date: Friday 21st September
4 – Friday 9:30am – 11:30am
Life in the UK (Citizenship)

A 10-Week course for people studying for their Life in the UK Citizenship test.
Start date: Thursday 27th September
5 – Thursday: 9:30am – 11:30am
ESOL
This is an informal class for speakers of English as a second language, looking to improve their skills, but who are not yet ready for Entry 1, or are more advanced and wish to practice. We may be offering an evening version of this class from October 2018.
Start date: Thursday 27th September
6 – Friday: 1:30pm – 3pm
Driving Theory Class
4-week course to help with studying for and passing the UK Driving Theory Test.
Start date: Friday 21st September
Fitness
1 – Thursday: 12pm-3pm
Swimming
Join our swimming club and swim for free at Aston University on Thursdays.
Start Date: Thursday 27th September
2 – Wednesday: 2pm-3pm
Ladies Fitness Class
Weekly fitness class incorporating dance and different work out styles with Katie Driscoll Dance Klass.
Start Date: Wednesday 12th September
New Skills
1 – Friday: 1:15pm – 3:15pm
Portrait Painting

Six week class on the basics of portrait painting.
Start Date: Friday 9th November
2 – Friday: 10:15am – 12:15pm
Computer Aided Design for Beginners
Six week class on how to design products using a computer.
